In study after study, of composers, basketball players, fiction writers, ice skaters, concert pianists…. This number come up again and again…It seems that it takes the brain this long to assimilate all that it needs to know to achieve true mastery… “ (p. 40).

    Heidi's Application:
    Our students don’t come to us with all of the academic skills and pro-social behavior skills they will need to be successful in life. We have continued to emphasize the need to practice, practice, practice.
